Today, we offer safe and standardized hemp-derived soluble cannabinoids to consumers and manufacturers alike. Our consumer division, Caliper Consumer, produces and sells Caliper CBD and Caliper Swiftsticks online and in retail channels nationwide. Our ingredients division, Caliper Ingredients, produces standardized, soluble cannabinoid ingredients for CPG companies that care about compliance. Finally, our sister company, Ripple, makes and sells Ripple, a leading THC edibles brand in Colorado and Michigan.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to help our Finance Team provide business performance data to Leadership in order to help drive business decision making. You will be responsible for AP, month-end financial preparation, use tax as well as assisting in the purchasing function for our production facility. You know how to work quickly and accurately, and have a thorough understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
To succeed in this role, you must be the type of person who can jump right in, be comfortable creating processes, and tweaking them when they no longer suit the business. When faced with ambiguity, your first instinct should be to think, not panic or shut down. You should love creating order from chaos (though our books, while imperfect, are hardly chaotic), and thrive on acting as an informational resource to other departments.
Your responsibilities will include:Accounting

  • Accountable for the General Ledger accuracy
  • Accurately and timely review, code, and process vendor invoices
  • Prepare weekly AP Aging reports and recommend payments to make
  • Process weekly payments to vendors
  • Perform data entry updates associated with accounts payable vendors
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Audit and categorize credit card transactions on a weekly basis, and create intercompany invoices as necessary to support credit card transactions
  • Manage and categorize company bank transactions
  • Perform end-of-month duties as needed including reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of year end tax forms, as necessary
  • Process monthly employee reimbursements and payments
  • Maintain professional relationships with all current key suppliers as well as forming new vendor relationships
  • Resolve supplier issues in relation to delivery dates, quality, spec, quantity, or cost when occasions arise
  • Manage employee expense reimbursements

        Qualifications:
        • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
        • 2-5 years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
        • Experience with complex entity structures and consolidated financial statements
        • Required experience in QuickBooks Online
        • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, and Google Sheets; expert-level Pivot Table skills a plus
        • Excellent analytical and communication skills
        • Go-getter attitude who wants to build an accounting career

          Compensation: $45-$65k/year
