Title: Education Programs Support Specialist Work Year: 260 days

DESCRIPTION: Collaborate and coordinate with the Director CLDE ,
District Grant Accountants, District Payroll Department to collect,
organize and report to State and Federal agencies regarding all
aspects of our educational programs and related instructional
duties. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Administrative
Office Management or related areas. Training in standard accounting
practices, spreadsheet building, and database building. Skills,
Knowledge and Equipment: Strong oral and written communication
skills; Oral Spanish fluency preferred; Accounting and accelerated
math capacities; Good interpersonal skills, customer service
oriented; diplomatic; Organized; strong time management skills and
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products
including Access. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: None
required. Supervision/Technical Responsibility: 95% of time is
providing strong technical assistance to the Student Achievement
Resource Team (StART). May be responsible for assigning, directing
work of temporary employees. Acts as a resource for departmental
staff and individuals throughout the district regarding
department-related issues. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform
administrative duties for the CLDE Team which may include
establishing, maintaining, and updating files and records; entering
PD Requests, ordering departmetn supplies,revising policies and
procedures, and preparing, processing and filing necessary
documents and paperwork. Perform financial duties that may include
accounts payable, timesheet processing, and budget reconciliation
for the CLDE activities. Maintain systems of data collection and
pull reports as requested to assist with the analysis and
evaluation of program planning and improvement efforts. Enter and
maintain the English Language Development data on Infinite Campus
and ensure that all errors are corrected for October 1 data and
ACCESS assessment. Support the extended learning and summer
programs teams with registration and community outreach. Maintain
the district's professional development calendar for CLDE
department and enter PD requests Support the team by maintaining
and communicating knowledge of state guidelines for Title 3
programs/activities. Oversee and coordinate the programs for Title
3 schoolst to maintain a detailed database. Assist the Grant
Accountant in the compilation and preparation of files on all
federal and state grant audits including those for Title 3 and ELPA
and the consolidated grants not limited to the preparation of
spreadsheets, capital outlay forms, time sampling forms and the
pulling of data from archives. Possess excellent communication
skills, problem-solving skills, independent thinking skills and the
ability to ask questions with both the big picture and the smaller
picture in mind in order to glean the most information about
something in the least amount of time. Demonstrate high level of
confidentiality in all matters regarding student and staff.
Actively seek out learning opportunities. May occasionally require
heavy lifting of 15-50 pounds. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: At least three
years of project management or coordination experiences; knowledge
of language acquisition desirable; corporate accounting experience
including accounts payable/receivable; payroll processing and
