upon hire. About the KIPP Colorado Permanent Substitute Role: The
Permanent Substitute is a role that will substitute for our KIPP
Colorado teachers in their region in the case of teacher absences.
When not subbing in a classroom, the Permanent Substitute may be
supporting the school with providing coverage at lunch duty, hall
duty, or arrival and dismissal. A Permanent Substitute, unlike a
Lead Teacher, will only have the direct responsibility of managing
the learning and culture of the classroom. The permanent substitute
may be assigned to cover any classroom in their region and it is
likely that teaching assignments will change daily. About KIPP:

professional development, grade level, and department meetings
Actively engage and implement in all school-wide and Org wide
professional development Serve as a positive, contributing member
of a grade team or functional team, collaborating with colleagues
to tackle common challenges and implement org and grade-wide

with both student and staff recruitment and engagement- including

wide meetings, etc. may require you to travel around Denver to
other KIPP Campuses, our Home Office, or other KIPP or PD events
Assist with other duties as assigned (such as but not limited to,
lunch duty, arrival/dismissal duty, bathroom duty, hallway duty,
school support duties, etc.) Instructional Delivery Substitute as
needed or required by day to day building needs Deliver daily
lesson plans using provided lesson plans. Support with students
meeting daily objectives. Leave notes and updates for regular
classroom teacher Use adopted high quality instructional materials
and curriculum with fidelity School Culture Alignment Establish and
maintain relationships with students and families based on trust
and respect Approach practice with a sense of urgency to maximize
instructional time Maintain high expectations for academic work and
classroom behavior Reinforce rules and consequences to maintain a
positive, focused classroom Additional Responsibilities Providing
an active presence, strategic supervision, and intentional
monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement in rigorous
learning Complete all specialized certification requirements to
maintain compliance, including but not limited to Multilingual
Education (MLE) coursework, CDE literacy modules, ECE professional
licensure, ESSA highly qualified status Partner with the Assistant
Principal of Special Services and Special Education Teachers to
ensure proper implementation of 504s, BIPs, IEPs, safety plans,
accommodations, modification, and language support for students
Enforce positive behavior systems and monitor behavior data Attend
designated school functions outside of school hours (Back to School
Night, Report Card Conferences, Community Events, etc.) Perform
necessary support duties including (but not limited to) bus, lunch,
and dismissal duties, chaperone field trips. Participate in parent
meetings, conferences, and periodic evening events Develop strong
relationships with the families of students through home visits,
participation in school events and phone calls home Communicate
regularly with families about academic progress and behavior
Participate in daily duties (i.e. breakfast, lunch, dismissal) to
support school operations Maintain accurate and timely records,
grade books, and data tracking systems About a Successful Candidate

Bachelor's degree (required) OR High School Diploma and 1 Year

year of teaching experience (highly preferred but not required) A

Compensation and Benefits Employee retention and satisfaction is
imperative for KIPP Colorado. We seek to provide competitive
compensation and benefits including the following: Competitive
Market Salary: The set salary for this role is at (2 options) With
a Bachelors degree salary is set at $60,015 and is not negotiable.
For this role, years of experience are not considered toward
salary. OR With a High School diploma and 1 Year Substitute
Authorization salary is set at $47,663. For this role, years of
experience are not considered toward salary. Excellent Healthcare
