Job Description Job Description Oil & Gas Field Analyst The Field Analyst’s primary responsibility is to perform routine field sampling operations and sampling equipment maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning and repair of sample media, coordinating with field contacts, mobilizing to multiple sites, and collecting pressurized oil, gas, and water samples safely. The field analyst will be trained in HAZMAT packing and shipping and be able to correctly ship pressurized liquid and gas samples. The field analyst will also perform routine laboratory operations focusing on projects from arrival in the lab through reporting based on available instrumentation. This includes, but is not limited to, sample log-in, performing analysis, and scheduling instrument usage, troubleshooting issues, reviewing data, preparing reports, and performing follow-up investigations as needed. The Field Analyst will report to the Oil & Gas Operations Manager but will also regularly engage with the Assistant Oil & Gas Manager for specific project support. Field work for FA positions will be required on a specific project basis.
