Outside Plant Reports To: Project Manager POSITION SUMMARY We’re
looking for a Fiber Splicer to join our growing Outside Plant team.
The Fiber Splicer is responsible for the installation, splicing,
and testing of fiber optic cable to support the delivery of
high-speed internet and communication services to residential
customers. This role plays a critical part in the construction and
activation of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks. The Fiber Splicer
must be skilled in handling single-mode and multi-mode fiber and
conducting OTDR and power meter testing to ensure high-performance
connections. The position requires both field and occasional indoor
work, including working in handholes, pedestals, enclosures, and
central offices or cabinets. A strong understanding of industry
safety standards, construction drawings, and network documentation
is essential. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform prep and fusion of
single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic cables Place and test jumpers
in communication cabinets Properly dress aerial and underground
cabling and place mid-sheath splices & butt splices Test and
troubleshoot fiber using an OTDR, optical power meter, fiber
identifier and scope Perform installation and testing of fiber
cross connects Work flexible hours as needed and on-call rotation
which may include nights and weekends Work with Project Manager,
Construction Manager and Fiber Engineer to perform splicing as
directed Train on and safely operate bucket truck with supervision
Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic that can provide
high productivity with minimal supervision Other duties as assigned

experience in fiber splicing (Preferred) Proficient with
construction equipment, hand tools, fusion splicer, OTDR, fiber
identifiers and scope Ability to drive company vehicles in a safe
and responsible manner Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass
an MVR screen Strong understanding of proper safety construction
practices High school diploma/GED JOB DETAILS AND PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS This role requires extensive travel with the ability
to travel to various locations to perform job duties. Travel
schedules may be predictable or variable depending on the needs of
the project and may take short trips, longer trips, or extended
stays depending on the needs of the project. A company vehicle is
provided. Must be authorized to work in the United States. This is
a nonexempt position. This is a full-time position. This is a staff
position. This position is located in our Colorado market. The
schedule for this position is variable and may require night or
weekend availability as needed to fulfill the core duties of the
role. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in
various extreme weather conditions, such as extreme heat or cold,
rain or snow. This position requires the ability to stand, walk,
and climb on uneven surfaces and ladders for extended periods of
time. This position requires the ability to lift and carry heavy
equipment or materials, up to 50 lbs. This position requires the
ability to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, aerial
lifts, and telehandlers. This position requires the ability to wear
personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses
and steel-toed boots. This position requires the ability to crouch
and stand in undefined positions in narrow spaces to operate
machinery or manufacturing machines. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base
pay is paid at an hourly rate. The hourly range for this position
is $25.00 to $32.00 depending on experience. Paid Life Insurance,
