Success is measured by meeting sales objectives while exceeding customer requirements as you work with Outside Account Managers to grow your skills, expertise, and career development opportunities across the industry.The EssentialsResponsible for building, developing, and retaining customers necessary to drive a high-performance sales team, along with ensuring succession for accounts.Acknowledge & process customer's Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO)Establish and manage customer requirements, including quote follow-ups and pro-expedite purchase orders.Direct sales forecasting activities, analyzes account sales data, and promote sales.Communicate with Outside Account Mangers and Project Managers to establish profit, inventory suggestions, and pricing requirements for key accounts.Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and suggest improvements.Examines ways to offer practical, creative alternatives that increase AWC's chances of successfully closing orders at higher margins.What You'll Bring to the TableApproach work with curiosity and critical thinking mindset to identify opportunities and risks.Organize, plan and act. You will schedule and prepare scope of work supporting customer satisfaction and promoting our passion to serve.Advise the customer through selection and recommending products and solutions to customers based on the customers' application details.You will work with Outside Account Managers to offer the best solutions for our customers' needs.Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.Required Qualifications4-year bachelor degree / 2 year technical degree (preferred in an Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline) or 2-5 years associated industry experienceStrong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office 365Ability to learn and utilize inventory management and sales systemsMust be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goalsSense of urgency, high energy with high accountabilityAbility to clearly communicate (verbal and written via phone, e-mail, etc.)Self-motivated to work from home as neededBe available and responsive immediately when neededWillingness to be on call for after-hours & weekend support periodically.Bonus QualificationsBase level knowledge of Electrical and Automation products, including but not limited to PLC's, IO's, Safety Devices, Enclosures, Motor Starters, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Sensors, Panelboards, etc.Basic understanding of electricity, panel design/wiring, manufacturing/OEM experience.Our CultureAt AWC our Winning Together culture starts with a shared commitment to building an environment of inclusiveness, trust, and mutual respect.
