As a Senior Engineering Manager at Workiva, you'll spearhead the Tasks product team, orchestrating the development of cutting-edge software applications and revolutionizing our flagship product. • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and innovative work environment
• Assume responsibility of full-scale people management duties, steering the hiring process, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering talent development initiatives to empower our team members to reach their full potentialStrategic Planning and Collaboration
  • Define strategic objectives and establish policies that drive success within the Tasks product team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering teams, product managers, delivery managers, and end-users, to analyze, design, and implement software enhancements and new features, ensuring alignment on application requirements and modifications throughout the processTechnical Oversight and Process Improvement
    • Manage the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software solutions tailored for end-user applications, with a specific focus on B2B SaaS products serving external client-facing needs
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance productivity of the Tasks productWhat You'll Need:Minimum Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 6+ years related experience, or PhD with 4+ years related experience
      • 3+ years of direct people management experience, including supervisory experience of entry-level managers and/or established individual contributorsPreferred Qualifications
        • People-focused manager with empathy, trustworthiness, and a collaborative mindset
        • Architectural expertise, understanding of UI/UX principles, and a passion for driving technical innovation
        • Strong technical background with experience in technologies such as Python, Java, React, and Dart
        • Experience in SaaS B2B environments
        • Ability to navigate through numerous stakeholders, juggling competing demands while effectively balancing priorities
        • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including engineering teams, delivery teams, and executive leadershipRemote-Ready Excellence

          • Typically no more than 10% travel for Workiva's Internal Developer Conference and team jamsHow You'll Be Rewarded Salary range in the US: $142,000.00 - $241,000.00 A discretionary bonus typically paid annually Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
