Job Description:
Position OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced
petroleum sales professional able to generate revenue from the
local (CO), regional (Rocky Mountains), and national government.
You will focus sales efforts in building and nurturing government
business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Qualifying needs, leading direction, and communicating with
government agencies.
- Contact designated government accounts and make well prepared,
professional presentations to clients and prospects.
- Identify and search for government RFPs, complete and submit
RFPs by deadlines, and provide documentation for all RFP
submissions.
- Complete quarterly business reviews to manage government
contracts to increase revenue.
- Demonstrate initiative in finding new business and new contacts
within existing accounts resulting in increased revenue.
- Is aware of competition, top accounts, and sales strategies on
an ongoing basis. Stays abreast of trends in the marketplace.
Monitors and thoroughly comprehends market conditions and
government contracts.
- Cross-functionally works with other sales team members to close
business.
- Identify and participate in trade shows and applicable
associations to build customer network and increase revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with government leaders and
influencers within target markets.Required/Preferred Education &
Experience
- Bachelors degree
- Five or more years outside sales experience and past sales
experience working with state or federal government.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
such as, Salesforce
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed sales skillsWorking Environment and Physical
Demands (Office Positions)
- This position operates in a fast-paced, professional
environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment
such as computers and phones. While performing duties of this job,
you will be regularly required to talk, read, hear, sit, stand,
bend as necessary, and use your hands to type.Key Performance
