ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Tele Stepdown Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 during days and 1:4-5 during nights • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred) • Must have experience with pre/post cardiac procedures including stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures • Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including pre/post cardiac procedures, femoral and radial procedures, heart catheterization, cardioversions, cardiothoracic patients, post-thoracotomy patients directly from PACU, CABGs 24 hours out, stents, post PCIs, vascular procedures, NSTEMI, trachs with home ventilators, trachs with bipap and cpap, and chest tubes • Titrate various drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, and integrelin (Dobutamine and Dopamine are non-titratable) • Work with equipment including bipap, cpap, and home ventilators • Monitor techs handle all monitoring, measuring, and documenting • Weekend requirements: every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month • Holiday rotation required for 6 main holidays: New Year's, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Memorial Day, and Labor Day • May float as part of permanent staff rotation • No call or standby requirements • Navy blue scrubs required • 2-3 shift unit orientation provided • Use EPIC charting system • Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from facility location Facility: This medical center features a specialized 24-bed cardiac telemetry stepdown unit that provides high-acuity care for cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical patients. The unit emphasizes stepdown-level nursing expertise and maintains advanced monitoring capabilities with dedicated monitor technicians to support patient care.
