Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80920! Job Title: Registered Nurse

Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP, ACLS, BLS Must-Have:
- Must have AWHONN Intermediate certification - Experience with
SVE's, FSE's, OR circulator, magnesium administration Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and
Delivery. The nurse will be responsible for managing high-risk
antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients. The unit averages
225 deliveries a month. The schedule includes various nights
throughout the week. On-call duty is required for 24 hours per
6-week schedule. Weekend requirements will depend on need, with a
minimum of 6 weekend shifts per schedule. Nurses may need to float
between birth center facilities as required. The patient ratio
during shifts is 1:2. Experience in managing labor and delivery
cases, including administration of medications and assisting in
various procedures, is essential. The daily census typically
includes 6-10 deliveries. Competency in charting using the Epic
system is required. The candidate should be familiar with a range
of obstetrical skills, including but not limited to: -
Administration of blood products - Amnioinfusion - Neonatal
Resuscitation - Pain assessment and management - Use of External
Fetal Monitoring - Vaginal delivery techniques This role is
integral to providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and
newborns. Candidates with previous charge experience are preferred.
This position does not require a COVID-19 vaccine, while flu
vaccine requirements are currently unknown. The unit team is
supported by various interdisciplinary services, ensuring a
well-rounded care environment. The facility is equipped to handle
high-risk deliveries and emergency situations in obstetrics. 5
