Description Location: UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central - Colorado Springs, CO Department: Shared Services Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $22.14 - $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Medical Assistant Educator to lead the development and delivery of high-impact training programs across our primary care and specialty clinic network. This role is responsible for preparing Medical Assistants to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care while ensuring clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical professional with a talent for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams to perform at the highest level. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive onboarding and ongoing education programs for Medical Assistants in primary care and specialty clinics Develop standardized clinical workflows, competency assessments, and skills validation processes Deliver engaging classroom, virtual, and hands-on clinical training sessions Ensure alignment with evidence-based practice, organizational policies, and regulatory standards Partner with clinic leadership to identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans Monitor performance metrics and training outcomes to drive quality improvement initiatives Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, fostering professional growth and accountability Support cross-training initiatives to enhance workforce flexibility across specialties Maintain up-to-date training materials reflecting current best practices and emerging healthcare trends Promote a culture of excellence, safety, collaboration, and patient-centered care Requirements: Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, Preferred: Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. Required Licensure/Certification: Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 3 years of recent experience practicing as medical assistant. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
