CO Department: General Surgery FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per
pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $33.61 - $52.10 / hour. Pay
is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Job Summary: The RN
Medical Office - General Surgery provides skilled clinical support
and care coordination within a fast-paced surgical specialty
practice. This role is integral to ensuring safe, efficient, and
compassionate care for patients throughout the surgical continuum,
from preoperative preparation through postoperative follow-up. The
ideal candidate is highly organized, clinically strong, and thrives
in a collaborative outpatient surgical environment focused on
excellence, efficiency, and patient-centered care. Key
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing support to general
surgeons and advanced practice providers in an outpatient medical
office setting Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient
assessments, including education, triage, and care planning
Coordinate surgical scheduling, pre-admission testing, and
follow-up care to ensure seamless patient transitions Manage
clinical communications, including patient calls, messages, and
review of test results in collaboration with the care team Assist
with minor procedures, wound care, and postoperative management in
accordance with clinical protocols Perform medication
reconciliation, documentation, and patient education related to
surgical care plans Ensure compliance with clinical standards,
safety protocols, and regulatory requirements Support clinic
workflow optimization, patient throughput, and a positive patient
experience Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to
deliver high-quality, coordinated surgical care Requirements:
Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state
board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in
Nursing. Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a
Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
Minimum Experience: 6 months of nursing experience. BLS through the
American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the
Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or
CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. We improve lives.
