TGC is actively seeking to recruit a Software Developer for an immediate 12 months onsite assignment for a client at Denver, CO.

Candidates with experience only in telecom background will be considered.

This individual will be part of a software development engineering team responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, implementing, and documenting software enhancements and fixes to a large application. The application is a critical, Tier 1 application, and is used 24/7. This resource will also perform application support and maintenance, participate in an on-call rotation, and perform activities such as analyzing application level monitoring tools (App Dynamics,) and configuring and troubleshooting web application containers (Tomcat.)

Major duties:

o Provide software development expertise in developing a Network Monitoring platform for Client.

o Analyze requirements, designs and develops software applications in client / server environment and / or web deployed applications.

o Interact with Project Manager to understand requirements and scope the systems.

o Participate in unit, integration, and system test procedures.

o Document final program and develop user instructions, software / hardware requirements, program input / outputs and execution / installation steps.

o Write and manage cron jobs for a large application.

o Read and analyze application level synthetic monitoring.

o Use monitoring tools like Zabbix, Client, NSG, App Dynamics, and Wiley.

o Hands on experience with manual and automated software deployments.

o Participate in on-call rotation.

o Handle multiple tasks - ensure that tasks are being completed in timely manner with limited direction.

o Participate in team meetings to discuss approaches to current projects.

o Comply with all established procedures and policies of Client.

o Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

o Other functions that may be assigned.

Minimum requirements:

o BS in Computer Science or equivalent

o 2-5 years' experience in Java, HTML5, JavaScript programming (junior to senior level)

o 2+ years' experience with MySQL, Oracle, PL / SQL and JDBC

o 2+ years? of experience Unix and Unix shell scripting

o 1-2 years' experience with monitoring tools such as Wiley, App Dynamics

o Experience with both frontend and backend web development

o Experience in object oriented design

o Experience with automated build environment, Jenkins, Maven or Ant

o Experience with high transaction volumes, high data through put

o Strong problem solving skills

o Works well in a team environment

o Excellent written and verbal communications skills

o Strict adherence to development standards

Preferred requirements:

o Experience with HBASE, Hadoop

o Experience or knowledge of Cloudera, MapR, or HortonWorks

o Experience with CM tools such as Puppet, MagNeto, Code Wash

o Experience developing Network Monitoring applications

o Experience in deployment and administering web application containers like Tomcat, Glassfish, WebLogic

o Experience in developing, deploying and administering Java applications using Java, J2EE

o Experience with high transaction / throughput processing in a highly available environment

o Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations and interacting with company personnel on complex topics

o Demonstrated experience of participating on teams of technical experts in a diverse, fast-paced, 7 x 24 environments

o Proven experience meeting large deliverables with fixed and aggressive deadlines

o Ability to present clear, concise reporting on concurrent projects and issues

o Proven analytical and problem solving skills
