About You

In partnership with the Executive Director, you will take the vision for Balfour Retirement Community to execution, creatively designing service-oriented solutions adapted to the unique needs of our residents and associates.  You will actively manage relationships with prospective residents and their families focusing on the “sales zone” activities including face-to-face, voice-to-voice, creative follow-up and purposeful planning for effective execution.

Ideally you bring expertise in customer service and relationship building, and you will help bolster and maintain our outstanding service to achieve annual and long-term strategic objectives of the community.

Main Responsibilities

•    General Management: Partner with the Executive Director to guide the planning and management of the community’s operations. Responsible for leading the front desk and transportation teams.

•    Sales Focus: Actively manage relationships with prospective residents and their families utilizing a team relationship selling approach.  Maintain a thorough knowledge of Balfour’s continuum of products and services, as well as competitor information, market conditions, and through use of our customer relations management database, you will lead the leasing team to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales and occupancy goals.

•    Resident and Family Focus: Foster connections and relationships in a personalized manner and ensure we provide a consistent level of quality and care. Assist with the admissions process, helping to coordinate care plan meetings.

•    Workplace Culture: Build a culture that attracts and retains high performing associates committed to the Balfour Way, its residents, family members and other Balfour associates. Design and lead initiatives to improve associate retention and train associates on optimum customer service.

•    Growth: Apply operational expertise to continue the community’s growth, working closely with the leasing team to ensure full occupancy. 

Highlights of Qualifications

•    Professional experience in senior living, residential real estate, hospitality, or other customer service-related field.

•    Experience delivering superior services to a discerning customer base. 

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or education; at ease with a highly educated and/or professionally accomplished clientele.

•    High emotional intelligence; empathetic in various situations engaging with staff, clientele, family, and internal and external partners. 

•    Proven ability to actively build and cultivate relationships with prospective residents and their families as well as with healthcare referral sources and community partners. 

•    Resilient under pressure and during change; acts as a change champion for staff and fosters a positive, proactive culture. Leads by example with diplomacy, empathy, consistency, humility, and confidence while developing staff.

•    Familiarity with fiscal responsibilities and able to successfully manage a budget.

•    Current State/Federal/Local required certifications or licenses for senior care in Colorado. 

•    Balfour Senior Living Communities are pet friendly. Associates may be exposed to dander and pet-hair.

Health & Wellness Protocols: Until further notice, interviews will take place virtually. Newly-hired associates will complete Balfour Senior Living's New Hire Orientation virtually, then receive important training about how to keep our residents, and themselves, as healthy as possible. This includes things like hand washing and social distancing. You will also follow wellness protocols developed under guidance of health agencies before entering any of our buildings.
