Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for
delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the
organization, with a strong focus on Diesel Mechanics at all
levels. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting
plans, generating sourcing strategies, advising hiring managers,
being a resource as well as developing new, creative recruiting
ideas. The Human Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in
ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.Essential Job
Functions:
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization
plans and objectives; reaching out to hiring managers to discuss
needs.
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting
community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters,
media, and internet sites; providing organization information,
opportunities, and benefits; maintaining rapport.
- Work with hiring managers on a bi-weekly/monthly to ensure they
are processing candidates appropriately through Paylocity
(including but not limited to hiring, interviewing, rejecting, and
screening)
- Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
- Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
- Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in
recruiting.
- Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
- Use social and professional networking sites to identify and
source candidates.
- Determines applicant requirements by studying job description
and job qualifications.
- Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants;
analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications
to job requirements.
- Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules;
arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to
interviews as needed.
- Conducts pre-screen interviews; Evaluates applicants by
discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with
managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of
qualifications.
- Assist in creation of job descriptions for new positions.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive
candidate recruiting.
- Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
- Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish
rapport, and source new candidate leads.
- Create job offers and follow through pre-employment
requirements to determine start date.
- Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation
packets.
- Attends job fairs.
- Finds opportunities within the four states for generating
interest in Diesel Mechanic careers.
- Administrative duties and recordkeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.Requirements: EDUCATION,
CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years' experience, additional
experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Confidential, professional and results driven.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivations and
communication skills required.
- Excellent verbal, social and written communication skills
- Computer and application systems skills required.
- Demonstrates proficiency on all standard office equipment.
Compensation: Salary range: $67,000-$75,000Work Environment: Office
environment PM20
