Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering all
facets of recruiting success throughout the organization, with a
strong focus on Diesel Mechanics at all levels. This will be
achieved through the development of recruiting plans, generating
sourcing strategies, advising hiring managers, being a resource as
well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Human
Resources Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are
hiring the best possible talent.
Essential Job Functions:
Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans
and objectives; reaching out to hiring managers to discuss
needs.
Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community
services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and
internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities,
and benefits; maintaining rapport.
Work with hiring managers on a bi-weekly/monthly to ensure they are
processing candidates appropriately through Paylocity (including
but not limited to hiring, interviewing, rejecting, and
screening)
Utilize the Internet for recruitment. Post positions to appropriate
Internet sources.
Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in
recruiting.
Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source
candidates.
Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and
job qualifications.
Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants;
analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications
to job requirements.
Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges
travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews as
needed.
Conducts pre-screen interviews; Evaluates applicants by discussing
job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers;
interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
Assist in creation of job descriptions for new positions.
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate
recruiting.
Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish
rapport, and source new candidate leads.
Create job offers and follow through pre-employment requirements to
determine start date.
Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation
packets.
Attends job fairs.
Finds opportunities within the four states for generating interest
in Diesel Mechanic careers.
Administrative duties and recordkeeping.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years' experience, additional experience
may be considered in lieu of degree.
Confidential, professional and results driven.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, self-motivations and
communication skills required.
Excellent verbal, social and written communication skills
Computer and application systems skills required.
Demonstrates proficiency on all standard office equipment.
Compensation: Salary range: $67,000-$75,000
