Research OperationsJob Summary
Under minimal supervision, oversees the clinical aspects of three
grant-funded community health programs related to diabetes and high
blood pressure. Leads community workers to improve health outcomes
and grow program by completing action plans, implementing quality
and clinical performance standards, identifying, and resolving
problems, overseeing and completing quality improvement efforts,
implementing change as needed. The role is responsible for
planning, organizing, allocating resources, ensuring compliance
with standards, and achieving the required outcomes of the work
unit.

Essential Functions:
Leads and mentors program staff to accomplish individual, unit, and
enterprise strategic goals. Identifies training and staff
development needs of department members and ensures that
appropriate education or training is provided. Delegates
responsibility/authority whenever appropriate. Assists with hiring
additional team members as necessary. Initiates formal/informal
activities to develop departmental cohesion and collegiality.
Recognizes and acknowledges positive behavior and contributions.

Plans and implements grant program activities: Devises evaluation
strategies to monitor performance and determine need for
improvement. Conducts quality improvement initiatives. Articulates
and executes the vision, strategy and direction for the program.
Executes multi-year plans. (20%)
Learning and Innovation: Implements or participates in performance
improvement projects within area or responsibility. Attends formal
educational classes as required for credentials. Pursues learning
opportunities to enhance performance. Creates and maintains a
culture of performance improvement and change management using Lean
and other tools. (20%)
Fiscal and Resource Management: Assist in planning and implementing
billing procedures for program sustainability. Monitor and evaluate
program revenue as related to programmatic expenses and billing
revenue. Work with outside entities to disseminate best practices.

Policy and Practice: Provides input to policy development. Resolves
operational and unforeseen procedural problems and address other
concerns as directed. (15%)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required or
Work Experience:
1-3 years outpatient clinic experience with demonstrated leadership
qualities and evidence of leading initiatives at the clinic or
division level Required
Licenses:
RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies
Required or
DIETICIAN-Registered Dietitian Certification - CDR - Commission on
Dietetic Registration Required or
PHA-Licensed Pharmacist - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies
Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles of patient education and the population
served.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to
develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
