Job Details Description Starting pay is $18.00 per hour. Role Summary: The Shuttle Driver/Warehouse Associate safely verifies, loads (if required) and delivers product to the facility from local vendors and unloads product for staging in designated area of the facility. May also be responsible for servicing delivery trucks for PM and re-fueling delivery trucks daily. Responsible for working in the warehouse to set up and load, and pick product, when necessary. Also responsible for following all DOT, HACCP, and FCSMA regulations. Essential Competencies of the Role: This list of competencies is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other areas of responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Delivery / Operations o Accurately deliver fresh foods to customer, on time and within delivery specifications o Must be able to follow written and GPS directions to locate stores on route. o Ensure all proper processes are being followed, including manifests, FERs, RDMs, DOT logs, and driver issue logs on a daily basis. o Complete pre-trip/post-trip on trucks on a daily basis and be able to write up any deficiencies. o Pick up all empty trays from every store at every delivery. o Must complete check in with driver process with each store daily. o Drive safely, data entry of accurate OBC (on board computer) delivery information and DOT logs o Good housekeeping practices including clean truck and keep all areas free of trash and dirt and report any major cleanliness issues to supervisors right away. o Support EA Sweens Safety Culture; maintain and drives company route truck safely and uses equipment properly to load and unload truck. o Logs into the on-board ELD (Electronic Logging Device) using own login at the appropriate time, making required entries at the appropriate time. Paper copies are only used if ELD is not operational; submits other required documentation as needed on time. o Complete knowledge and understanding of assigned vehicle operations, i.e.;regen, maintain vehicle, keep vehicle clean inside and outside, PM, pre-trip and post trip inspection. o Move vehicles around yard and or deliver to specified locations for routine maintenance. Safety o Cooperate with all aspects of the E.A. Sween Company Safety program and polices. Work with all drivers to reduce the number of vehicle incidents and WC incidents. o Be responsible for, and follow safety and health regulations. Participate in safety meetings, report hazardous conditions, and perform your job according to Best Practices. o Cooperate with all aspects of the E.A. Sween Company Safety program. Client Relationships o Build good working relationships with store clerks/customer, conduct audits, work with customer on any complaints for resolution Safety and Food Quality Compliance o Complete required safety training on monthly basis o Use all equipment necessary for completion of your role in a safe and effective manner o Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Best Practices; work environment must be kept clean o Keep products within proper HACCP/AIB guidelines at all times o Ensure food temperature compliance, by checking temperatures as required by standard work, and immediately notifying leadership of issues o Successfully complete the mandatory E. A. Sween Quarterly Safety Training sessions for the purpose of complying with both OSHA regulations and EA Sween policy. o Complete HAACP/Food Security training as necessary o Follow all Good House Keeping and Best Practices; work environment must be kept clean, including o mopping up spills immediately. o Be responsible for, and follow safety, health, HACCP, and OSHA regulations by participating in and leading safety meetings, reporting hazardous conditions and performing job according to Best Practices. Continuous Improvement o Control and watch for material waste; look for ways to optimize processes o Notify maintenance immediately if problems arise with equipment. o Lean in by contributing to process improvements Required Qualifications: Valid Class A,B, or C license Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Card Pass criminal background check/drug screen Clean MVR, consistent with our Safe Driving Program 21 years of age Must be able to operate hand held tablet, cell phone, and electric pallet jack (where applicable) Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English Preferred Qualification (if Applicable): 6 months previous driving experience Previous customer service experience preferred Lift Gate experience Previous Warehouse Experience Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to lift 75 lbs Ability to push/pull 250 lbs Ability to operate a 2 4-wheel handcart. Step safely in/out and operate company route truck per company standard practices and DOT regulations. Bend, turn, twist, step up, lift overhead, push, and pull. Must be able to perform kneeling, squatting, turning, reaching over shoulder height, waist level and from floor. Work in a widely varying temperature environment indoors and outdoors, including all weather conditions. Must be willing to work all hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Preferred Biz-Driver,CDC or better.
